Embracing Connection

MOVEMENT AS
MEDICINE

I wish to instill a practice that allows you to build on what you may already know while integrating new perspectives and approaches to moving, breathing, and interacting with the world. In order to get out of our habits and conditionings, it is helpful to develop concentration and attention that will allow you to remember to be present – on the yoga mat, or in any activity, you may pursue.

What is a movement lab?
An exploration unto ourselves – a study of our body, breath, mind, and senses. Never mechanical; rather, playful and enjoyable.

A process for the development of our whole being.

A discovery - the object of study is yourself.

How?

A spacious practice introducing somatic movement exercises (sound/breath/repetitive action), principles of release technique, occasional partner work, asana, pranayama, meditation (walking +/- sitting), introspection, and deep relaxation.

Why?

To embrace the wisdom of your body.

To challenge you take your movement practice to the next level.

To develop psychophysical capabilities and attitudes like sensitivity, stability, (bodily and mental) flexibility, persistence, self-discipline, balance, and equanimity.

Group yoga classes with Tia have evolved into bi-monthly movement labs beginning in February 2025. All levels welcome. Registration can be found under events page.

If you would like to explore working together privately, please visit the 1-on-1 section of the site for more details. You are welcome to send me a message below to schedule a virtual meet and greet to discuss your needs.

I look forward to working with you in any capacity!

Bring your mat, or leave your mat at home, but ALWAYS bring an open mind and a willingness to EXPAND, CONNECT and DEEPEN into your practice and yourself.
